Supportive care, also called palliative care, is a type of medical care for those with serious illness which includes in-home visits by nurse practitioners. The goal of supportive care is palliative, or comfort care, and lessening symptoms of those with complex conditions. It is similar to the care received at a doctor’s office, except that our staff comes to you.
Located in Flower Mound, we serve much of the Dallas-Ft. Worth area.

Supportive Care at Home
Supportive care is often referred to as “palliative care”. The goal of palliative care is to improve quality of life for both the patient and their family members by promoting autonomy and self-determination within each individual’s unique experience. Common illnesses we see include heart disease, kidney disease, lung disease, cancer, and neurological conditions like Parkinson’s disease, stroke, and dementia.

MELISSA GEORGE
MSN, APRN, AGNP-C, CDP
Melissa grew up in East Texas and moved to DFW when she began her career as a nurse. She lives in Lewisville, TX with her husband and her four-legged baby, Lulu. She has been a nurse since 2011 and has been an Adult Gerontological Nurse Practitioner since 2020. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Texas A&M University and her master’s degree from Texas Woman’s University. She has spent most of her life dedicated to the elderly population and has many volunteer hours working in nursing/long term care facilities prior to changing career fields to become a nurse. She will often tell you that she loves the geriatric population! She is active in her local church and can sometimes be found playing any empty piano around with her genre being limited to anything in the old Baptist hymnal.
