How to Compare Hospice Agencies?

Recently, the federal government added an online tool to help patients and their families decide which hospice provider best meets their needs.  The data on the website comes directly from satisfaction surveys completed by families the hospice has served.  Considering that Texas has 500 hospice agencies, it can be hard to figure out how to find the best care for your loved one.  It’s even more daunting when you are trying to find a hospice agency for your loved one in Texas and you are living out of state.

One way to sift through all the information is to do a little research and compare your options.  A new tool on Medicare’s website, Hospice Compare allows consumers to see how the provider they are considering stacks up against the national average when it comes to such measures as managing pain, treating symptoms, treatment preferences and how much the hospice takes into account a patient’s beliefs and values in providing end-of-life care.

We encourage you to look at the results for Arcy Hospice on Hospice Compare.

We think the results speak for themselves.  It is our pleasure to provide exceptional care to all those we serve.
