April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month, and this year, our Arcy at Home team had the honor of sponsoring and participating in Edgemere Senior Living’s 2nd Annual Walk for Parkinson’s, in partnership with the Dallas Area Parkinson Society. It was a meaningful morning filled with connection, education, and a shared commitment to supporting those impacted by Parkinson’s disease.

From the moment we arrived, there was a sense of purpose in the air. Families, caregivers, and community members gathered together, not just to walk, but to stand beside one another. Throughout the event, our team had the opportunity to meet so many incredible individuals, each with their own story, their own journey, and their own strength.

At our table, we connected with attendees, shared information about our Arcy at Home services, and had thoughtful conversations about what it really means to care for someone living with Parkinson’s. Whether it was answering questions, offering resources, or simply listening, these moments reminded us how important it is to be present—not just as providers, but as partners in care.

Parkinson’s disease can bring unique challenges, both for those diagnosed and for the loved ones supporting them. That’s why at Arcy at Home, we focus on providing personalized, compassionate care that meets people where they are, right in the comfort of home. From assistance with daily activities to more specialized support, our goal is to help individuals maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life.

But beyond the services we provide, the connection we build is just as important. Events like this walk reinforce the importance of community, of coming together to raise awareness, share resources, and remind families that they are not alone.

We are incredibly grateful to Edgemere Senior Living and the Dallas Area Parkinson Society for hosting such a meaningful event and allowing us to be part of it. It’s through partnerships like these that we can continue to expand our impact and support more families across North Texas.

Hello,

My name is Jimmie Stapleton. I am the founder and CEO of Arcy Healthcare. Arcy Healthcare includes Arcy Hospice, Arcy Supportive Care, Arcy Home Health and Arcy at Home.

Arcy Hospice was opened in 2007 to provide care and support for individuals and families facing a life limiting illness. It was established after my wife Ellen, who had been diagnosed with breast cancer, had completed her chemo and radiation therapies. At that time, things were looking positive, and we wanted to do something for our community that had been so supportive of our family during her treatments. Unfortunately, the cancer returned a few years later, and she subsequently passed away under our care in 2010.

In the years that followed, I began to see the need to provide the same level of excellent care to patients across the continuum of care. Therefore, we have added a home health division (Arcy Home Health), a palliative care division (Arcy Supportive Care), and two home care divisions, (Arcy at Home and Living Well Senior Care). With the addition of these divisions, we can meet most of the post-acute care needs for you and your family in your home.

I started Arcy Hospice with my wife as my inspiration to provide exceptional care and support in the patient’s home, where they are surrounded by family and where they feel most comfortable. I’m proud to say our dedicated staff provides some of the most respected in-home care in Dallas-Fort Worth, treating every patient like a member of our own family.
