asking for help: a sign of strength

We often shy away from asking for help for fear of being seen as weak or incapable. There is this ingrained belief that asking for help makes us feel like we are imposing, or needy, or a burden on others. The reality is we would not be where we are today without the help and contribution of others. The most successful leaders today recognize that they can’t be experts in everything and surround themselves with people that they can reach out to and ask for help. Help can be a lot of different things that aren’t necessarily all tangible. Help can be emotional support or picking up a grocery order, or professional advice. Reaching out to ask for help is not a sign of weakness but a sign of strength instead.
